my favorite book is (italian：cuore). this is a diary written by an italianboy enrico. the diary is about his life and study. it included various touchingstories that happened around enrico，the mottos taught by his parents，as wellas the wonderful ten "monthly" stories told by his teacher during the class.every word in the chapter describes the word "love". from patriotism tofriendship，and to the love between parents and child -- really touching.
this novel taught me how to love，and how to learn from love. i really likethis book very much. how about you? what is your favorite book?

oh，i haven’t read this book before. what is it about?
well，it is a story of a rich girl who maintained her noble character afterthe bankruptcy of her father. the story is happy ending.
can you tell us why you love this book so much?
sure. it is because the story taught us to be brave and to face thechallenges and difficulties with courage. i am deeply impressed by the strengthand perseverance of the little princein the story. i have decided to learn fromher from now on.

Willwe be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of ourcountry?
The cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, whichwould cringe at the slightest discomfort. But the cynics are wrong. The collegestudents I see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. We helpeach other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take parttime jobs to supplement our pocket money.
The cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect theneed for character cultivation. But again, the cynics are wrong. We care deeplyfor each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth.

My name is Jie Lidi. Today, my topic is: “Confidence”. As we all know,failure is the mother of success. But What I want to say is that success is thechild of confidence. Without confidence, things can become negative anduncomfortable. I remember, during an English class, I wanted to make a sentenceusing the word "listen". I should have said: "I listen to the Voice of America"but I was too nervous and said "I listen to the Noise of America". Everybody inthe class laughed. Since then I wanted to train myself to be confident. Now,confidence makes me brave and courageous. Take this speech for example. I wantedto enter this competition, but I would feel very embarrassed if I made mistakes.Just then, I thought about my dream. My dream is to become a scientist when Igrow up. If I am not confident, how can I overcome difficulties I face? If I amnot confident, how can I succeed in developing myself in the future? I will doit! Today, I am making a speech in public and I feel proud and confident!
I am sure, in the future, with confidence, I will go forward-alwaysforward. Confidence will make my dreams come true!
